I've been unfortunately blessed with asthma, allergies and sinus issues!! I'm so lucky - NOT!! Anyways, my allergist tells me that it is fine to keep taking my allergy/asthma meds even with a BFP, but it kinda scares me. I know the baby and myself need oxygen so I have to be able to breath. So I'm just wondering if anyone else out there has the same issue and how you are dealing with it.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Yup yup and ... um.. yup. Zyrtec is safe for pregnancy but I took with all my pregnancies and this time I've decided not to take it. I'm using a Neti pot for my sinuses and I'll use my asthma meds if I need them. So far so good. Normally I have to take singulair, zyrtec, advair, flonase and albuterol.

I actually decided to go off Zyrtec as soon as I found out I was pg. (This is my 4th pregnancy but I've had 3 m/c's.) I was told you can immunize yourself from some of the pollens and air fuzzies by eating locally-harvested honey. It's a little expensive (I get it at a local gift shop, oddly enough, it's cheaper than buying it from the farmer's market even though it's the same honey), but so far I've been fine! We'll see how I'm doing when springtime hits in full force in a month or two. If this baby sticks, I'll check with my MW about going back on Zyrtec if I need to.

My son has severe food and environmental allergies and asthma but otherwise is perfect. My twins are healthy as horses. I decided that even though they are considered "safe" and my kids are all fine that I wanted to be as med free as possible this time. I have severe dust allergies so winter is my worst time, but I've actually been fine
. My sinuses hurt but the neti helps that alot. We shall see once the pollen comes out to play. My last pregnancy I got away with 1/2 a zyrtec and that was just fine. I figure we don't really know the long term effects of taking meds in pregnancy and I want to do what I can to give this LO the best start I can. If I get really miserable or if my asthma gets bad I will restart my meds as needed.
