I had some discharge tonight unlike anything during the pregnancy so far. It was like the egg white CM while I charted. Is that the start of the mucus plug?

You mean EWCM as in clear, watery, and slippery?
That's not at all what my plug loss was like, but someone mentioned in the weekly thread that the kind you're describing can be indicative of the mucus plug loosening.

Mine has been looking like EWCM. It has been coming and going every few days for a couple weeks now.
I keep hoping it is a good sign but then nothing comes from it. I never really lost a plug with either of my girls so I don't know what to expect this time.

I had the grossest, most hysterical plug situation today.
I was peeing in a cup to do my strip, and as I pull the cup away from my body, I hear this very light ... slopping sound?
I look at the cup, and there is a strand of plug hanging in the pee, over the side of the cup, and the teeny little *splot* sound was the end of the strand smacking against the outside of the cup.
Sooooooo gross. Thankfully, I do my own strip, so didn't have to expose anyone to that bit of nastiness.
Except all of you.
I lost my plug mostly in bits and pieces with the other two kids, and a big glob in early labor with the first. My water broke with my second, and I do not remember either plug or bloody show with him. I expect/hope I have another week, and this is merely a sign of prepatory dilation.
