If you would prefer to use gloves rather than washed hands, keep in mind that storebought gloves are not sterile gloves, most of the gloves at your doctor's office are not sterile either.

Yeah, I knew they weren't sterile. Unless they have to open up packaging to get them out, they aren't sterile. Fun, eh?

The gloves on the wall that are opened aren't sterile. The mw/ob should NOT be using these for cervical checks!!! They should be opening a package and applying sterile lubricant to the glove/package prior to inserting their fingers to check you. Insist on this!!! Doctor's offices/hospitals are dirty places.

When I went into PTL 2 weeks ago, both times they used sterile gloves.

Dh says I have to do a three-point wipe about....I most def could not reach my cervix. I should do another belly pic.

I can't reach my cervix... my finger is apparently not long enough. In this vein, I don't see the reason for an internal exam... if I can't reach it, how will they?
