Need more proof

I'm not sure if I'm the only one that feels like this, but I feel like I need more proof that I'm pregnant!

I took two pregnancy tests (both +) and my period is a week late. But, I want more!!

If I could, I'd run to the doctor to get a blood test. But, it seems like most Dr. visits aren't until 12 weeks.

It's my first pregnancy, I guess I'm just nervous. Anyone feel the same?

You can go and have a beta hcg done. They usually have you come back in two days after the first blood test to make sure the hcg is doubling properly. Any docotr can do this test. It doesn't have to be an OB or midwife. Try that if it will make you feel better.

I agree. My appointment isn't for weeks but I did go in to have blood drawn for the "official" pregnancy test. If it is a trek to your doctor's office they might be able to put a request into the system and you could go to a more local blood draw place.

a lot of ob/gyn's that are also fertility doctors will have same-day test results (i had both my hcg tests within 2 hours of my blood being drawn) if you don't want to wait.

my first doctor's appointment is at only 7 weeks, so i know some places will do it sooner... especially if you ask them to, haha.
