I am so happy to announce the birth of my perfect baby girl, Riley Summer!
She was born yesterday morning at 6:01am after just 4 hours of labor. She weighed and even 8lbs and is 19 1/2in long and has more hair than my two year old!
My labor was quick, I started getting regular contractions around 2am. They would just wake me enough to look at the clock. They were all over the place but averaged around every 10 minutes. After an hour of that I got up to call my m/w and go to the bathroom, the contrx came harder and faster when I got up and I also saw that I had alot of bloody show. She told me to call when they were more like 5 minutes apart.
I called my IL's to come up to stay with the kids and laid back down. Again the contrx came evey 10 minutes or so but were all over the place. I got up again in about a half hour and again the contrx would come harder and faster. I called the m/w again and she said I could go in to the hospital if I wanted to and she would be there in a bit. We left soon after the IL's got here and on the way to the hospital I could feel her moving down with each contrx.
We got to the hospital and the contractions were very close but I was OK in between. They put me in the wheelchair and took me to l&d. My wonderful dh who knows me so well kept saying they needed to get me in to the room b/c the baby is coming. He wheeled me in to the room and I started to push even before I was able to get out of the wheelchair. Four nurses riped my clothes off and put me on the bed. I pushed maybe two or three times and had a perfect baby girl.
My m/w came about a half hour later.
We left later in the afternoon.
I am so incredibly relieved and grateful for this perfect little baby. I will post some pics soon.
