Go Outside!

So, we've been indoors a lot this winter. During the late fall, T would have a fit because she wanted to nurse outside and I didn't want to freeze outside nursing her, so daily park time fell to the wayside. It's been beautiful the last couple of days so we went to the park. A lot of the behavior problems we've been having have disappeared or at least decreased. And she only asked to nurse once and was okay with waiting. Even though I know the weather is scheduled to get sucky again, I'm gonna try to go back to the daily outside time (I wish we had a yard). Seriously, I just think we've been driving each other nuts with cabin fever.

Us too!! My son has to get outside or he is intolerable. I have a tendency to hunker down inside but for all of our sanity I have been standing in the freezing blowing snow while he cavorts happily around in the winter weather.

I can't even tell you how many times I have said that in the last week or so. Ds is insane lately. For our sanity, we all need for Spring to arrive very soon. He's nuts!

Yeah, I've been wondering if this was our problem, too. Unfortunately, we just moved here in October and I haven't found any parks within walking distance. Maybe when spring comes and we can wander some more.

Oddly, I've found that for Lina even just driving some place can make a difference.

lol!

going outside has been my main parenting technique. seriously, since my son was 4 days old I noticed that just going outside made a world of difference for him. I don't know what all the neighbor kids do who are just cooped up inside all day long.

(but we live in southern california. I complain about it all the time- I am an uncomfortable transplant here- but its GREAT weather for going outside with little kids!)
