No doubt. We can view innumerable commercials telling us to ask out Dr. for X,Y, and Z drugs, and the Dr. will prescribe them for us. However, the minute we question, or say no thanks, we have no choice :

WTH happened to "yeah, its just not right for us.." i mean, we have the right to eat or not eat meat, drink or not, live in urban or suburban or rural areas, vote for whatever party we want or NOT, even freaking SMOKE and make 10000 other life choice decisions all without question, but this??

here's why: because I, AS THE PERSON WHO BIRTHED THIS CHILD and WHO WORRIES AND CARES FOR THEM 24/7, DO NOT WANT TO. and that should be the END of it!!

UGH!

There is something terrible wrong when a person can't say "No thank you!" to something that is being sold and carries a chance of causing harm.

My assemblyman just introduced a philosophical exmeption into the NY legislature last year. This year we should know if it has been approved or not.

We ALMOST bought a house in that school district. Thank GOD we didn't. They are one of the toughest.

In one school district they refused to give an unvaxed child any female teacher of child-bearing age...

Its not exactly a neutral source of news. Its self described as far right conservative news. They regularly feature Pat Buchanan, Bill OReilly, and others like that.

If you haven't read about the controversy, check out their wikipedia entry.

Worldnet daily commentators have written blatantly rascist articles about Hurricane Katrina stating, ""President Bush is not to blame for the rampant immorality of blacks" and accused "welfare-pampered blacks" of waiting for the federal government to save them from Hurricane Katrina.

They've even gone so far as to insinuate that 9/11 was God's way of punishing people for living amoral lives. Sick.

So I know the story is true as evidenced in other links after googling "palma vaccines new york." but here is a better link:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/02/ny...gewanted=print

I just try to warn people off of worldnetdaily whenever possible. I've read too much inflammatory and insane stuff on there to be wary. If you are ever trying to educate using vaccinations, I'd avoid citing this website like the plague. It will shoot your credibility entirely if anyone looks into the source.

I appreciate your point of view, but I don't think it's beneficial to use only mainstream media sources for news information. If I had done that when researching about vaxing my baby, I probably would have ended up vaxing. Facts should always be checked as thoroughly as possible no matter where you get your news (CNN, Washington Post, NY Times, ABC, NBC, FoxNews, Today Show, Citizen Joe, Huffington Post, Drudge Report, etc.) before you form an opinion or share with others. That's what I did before posting this thread. Thank you for your concern, but I'm not worried about my credibility. I found no 'holes' in the article. It would have been improper for me to cite another news source when this particular article on this particular website was the one that was brought to my attention. I believe in giving credit where credit is due.
