Do not consent forms????

Thread Starter
I am switching to a different pediatrician office and am trying to get the forms filled out before our appointment tomorrow. In the forms is a do/do not consent to vaccinating my child form. I thought I read somewhere that if you choose NOT to vax that you should not fill out or sign this form. I don't remember where I read it but it seems to stand out in my mind for some reason.

So I guess my question is...Do you sign the do not consent form or not? Any info would be great.

Thanks!

Whenever someone gives you something to sign (the ped included) you can take it home with you to read through it and give it some consideration.

I suggest you do that.

If there's a part you don't agree to, some cross it out. I'll never sign a form like that again, personally.

The form you've likely read about is the standard AAP form on vaccination that has a line about 2/3 of the way down about acknowledging that you are placing your child and others at risk by not vaccinating. Some folks cross that line out, some object regardless. But whatever form you've got, you should read carefully and decide if you agree with it. If not, modify or ignore/toss as you see fit.
