My little girl was born yesterday at home We got labor going on the afternoon of the 8th and by 2:30am the contractions were steady and painful enough to call the midwife. She arrived an hour later and checked my bp, baby's heartbeat, and hooked up my IV antibiotics. I had tested positive for group B strep a few weeks ago. Once the antibiotics were in I was free to pace and sway and everyone left me alone except for the occasional heartbeat check. My 2 year old woke up at 6am and played with her Omi (MIL). They were about to go to the store for breakfast stuff when my water broke so they stuck around to see the baby. The water broke with the first push, baby's head came out with the second, and third push she was out. I was so surprised at how fast. I kept saying "I can't stop!". I was on my knees when she was born so I could immediately see she was a girl No tearing! I tore in 3 directions with my first, but I was on my back in a hospital bed.
