I just can not find a doctor

I live in a small town, and all of the peds refuse to treat an unvaxed child. All of the family practitioners will not see a child under a certain age (4 or 5). I have called every single doctor in the area. So I guess that means I have several more years until I can have a regular dr. for my LO. In the meantime, the only options I can see are to go to the emergency room, or to keep switching drs when my LO gets sick, since they will probably see us at least once before kicking us out of their practice.

Is anybody in the same situation as me? How do you handle it? Do I have any other options? I would love to have a regular doctor.

This is so frustrating. Isn't a drs job to treat sick people!

I have a similar problem, although I am in a heavily populated area and could probably find a Ped nearby if I look a little harder, I've just given up for a while due to the way I've been treated by the last 6 Ped's we've been to. Every Ped I've called, I've asked over the phone about vaxes and they've said no. The reason I ask about it ahead of time is because I'm sick of paying for the expensive first appt., only to have them quit on me. I know I have Dr. Fleiss somewhat close to me, but last time I was there I really didn't like the woman who I saw. She was pretty rude about everything including vaccines, no-dairy, what I fed dd1 and her weight. Enough to really not want to visit the office again. We have now been without a ped. for almost a year and a half, ever since dd2 was 2 months old. I would feel more comfortable with a regular Dr. to take them to, so I'm going to make some calls again soon.

Hello ladies
The best option is seek an appt from a Classical Homeopath or a Naturopath for your baby, children and yourself.
www.homeopathic.org
has a directory of homeopaths for each state of course NOT all US homeopaths are listed butits something to start from.

I have found that the main reason children even go to a pediatrician is simply to be vaccinated. If you are already certain you don't want to vaccinate I think you'll probably find that you really don't need a ped.

When it was time for DS to start preschool I just took him to a local health clinic/urgent care facility for a physical.

Of all the kids I know it seems like the vaccinated ones end up with ear infections and strep and all that. Since you are already letting your child's immune system develop naturally chances are you won't have much need for a ped anyways....and that's just peachy!!!

Also, if your kid does get sick and need to be taken to a doctor you could always just say that you'll consider their vaccine schedule when your child is healthy...if you only ever take them in when they are really sick (rather than for a well visit, which is really just a code name for a vaccination appointment) then the doctor won't be able to vaccinate them anyways.
