RUnning a Blog Contest for Traffic? HELP!

Good morning!

I would like to run a blog contest for two reasons. One, to get people to read my blog...of course. But second, to showcase some items that I have in my webstore...that just doesn't get that much attention. :-(

Any tips or tricks? I am clueless as to what to say. I think as a prize I either want to give the winner a choice of one of my Selecta Die or a GC? What would y'all do?

Well, just post it and hope for the best.
You can use Twitter as well as submit to some blogs that link to give aways.

I know there is a quarterly huge bloggy giveaway that a ton of people link to. The last one was a couple weeks ago and over 1,000 blogs had giveaways. As you can imagine that generates a lot of traffic.

I hope I can post this! It has nothing to do with me and I saw a couple posts on the forums last night wondering how to promote their give aways. Here's one I found this morning.
