I had that with ds1's first grade teacher over getting to school late. I was trying to explain to her that there were lifestyle issues going on (ie. my ex was up too late playing videogames - and snorting coke, but I didn't know
that until later - to drag his butt out of bed to work, and I was the one getting ds1 and myself ready and all that) that were contributing to ds1 getting to school late. She informed me that
he was responsible for getting to school on time. How on earth could that happen, if
I wasn't ready to walk with him?? They'd have raised supreme if I'd been sending him to walk by himself...but
he was supposed to be responsible for getting
me out the door? Totally screwy.
