I have done a belly cast for each of my other children and they are hanging in me and DH room. They are so wonderfull. Anyway I ordered my kit today and was wondering if anyone else is planing on makeing one? Mine are full chest and belly.

Yeah, our first one is hanging in the living room. I think maybe DS1 will paint it with me when he is a little older- it is just raw for now. Are yours decorated? There are so many cool designs / ideas out there!

Have yet to order another kit: any suggestions for an online store?

At the beginning of the pregnancy, I was going to, but I've since gained A LOT of weight and don't feel proud of my preggo body at all to want to remember it. I also wondered if it would traumatize my child and/or guests if they came over and saw the cast (because it'd be chest and belly). I'll settle for my preggo pictures for prosperity and call it good. Those are even hard to look at.

I bought mine today from castin keepsakes. It was 21.00 + shipping.

I only get positive reactions. I didn' thave them up for a long time but just decided that I didn't care what people thought any more!

Yep, I ordered mine a couple days ago. I paid something like $20... it was one of the first ones that came up in a google search. My husband is an artist so I am hoping he will paint something cool on it....

You actually dont' need to get a kit. they sell the plaster stuff (it comes in a roll) at many craft stores - I got mine at Michael's and I know they also have them at our local art store. You'll need 2 or 3 rolls depending on your belly size. Also, you'll need some vaseline (I'd recommend that over oil) to put on your body before you plaster. It's really easy and fun. I painted my first and for the second, I modge-podged fabric scraps to the cast & it looks awesome! I love them both

So what do you usually do with them after you make them? I don't think we'd have any room for it, baby stuff takes up enough room as it is
