Static-y Hair

Thread Starter
I use Dr. Bronners soap (diluted) and conditioning rinse on my hair about once a week. Other than that I just rinse really well with hot followed by cold water. My hair is full of staic and it drives me bananas!! I have to wear it up almost all the time because I can't stand it flying around all over.

I would like to find something as natural as possible to control the frizzies.

oh and FYI my hair is Straight and Wavyish in the back.

I've always found Dr. B's to be a little harsh for my hair (but you can't beat the price!) so that might be part of the problem.

A simple static solution is to try rubbing a couple of drops of olive or jojoba oil (made even more lovely if you have scented a batch with essential oil before hand) between your hands and running your fingers through your hair...not enough to make your hair oily, just a touch. Wearing your hair up (and a bit on the damp side) helps too. When I have the cashola I like to use Aubrey Organics' Primrose Tangle-Go on my dry hair for static, and Aubrey Blue Chamomile shampoo to combat the dryness.

ETA: I have long straight hair.
