What the heck?? Stinky diapers :(

I just got some TFFs from someone on DS. I started using them today and they STINK.

What can I do?? I washed them twice before using them. I'm still new to this so could I be doing something wrong?

I would try boiling them? Sounds like there might be some build up causing the stink...

try a squirt of dawn first....boiling is so much work - also turn the hotwater heater temp all the way up so your water is nice and hot!!

Strip them. Use a small amount of dawn and wash on hot. Then rinse until their are no more suds. I sounds like build up. What do you use to wash?

I use Purex F&C. Wash on hot, do an extra rinse. I just got these and hadn't used them until yesterday. My other diapers are fine, no stink at all, and I got some of them used as well.

Does it have to be plain Dawn? I have some Oxy power (or something) Dawn, or apple scented. I also have 7th generation dish soap. (I'm a stockpiling kind of person so I buy whatever I can get for free/super cheap)

plain dawn is best, but i might try that oxy dawn and see? i used to used trader joes lavendar and tto dishsoap and that worked like a dream!
