Doula Thank you gift idea?

I had an amazing doula at my birth. She was such a huge support to DH and I. We would like to get her a thank you gift but are unsure of what to get her. Do you have any ideas? TIA

my mom always appreciates a tip...but jewelry is a nice gift in my own opinion too. many many beautiful spiral necklaces or birth goddess things on www.etsy.com

I've made mine a nursing necklace with a goddess on it, and got her a little statuette too, of a pregnant mama. Neither were expensive/fancy but both are cute.

My cousin is a doula and said she always wants a good massage after a birth, especially if it was one that was hard and she felt physically drained.

I like the jewelry idea! My favorite gift that a client gave me was a one hour massage! I ended up being able to use it for this pregnancy and it was heavenly.

The massage is an AWESOME idea. I would love that.

I like the jewlery idea too, if you know her well enough. Otherwise maybe you could volunteer to watch her kids (if she has any) at some point, or give her a gift card to a restaurant or amazon.com or something. I had sort of the same question, because my doula is in training and won't let me pay her... but I think I'm going to give her a thank you card with cash anyway (via her husband so that she can't refuse it).

Here's the link to my post in Birth Professionals: Gift ideas for unpaid doula?

HTH!
