Has anybody dyed an Ergo?

I have a camel Ergo I was thinking about dying red or some other fun color. Has anybody done this and have any tips? Is it as simple as getting some Dylon and filling the tub and following the packages directions?

Thanks!

Ergo's are all cotton aren't they? It should take dye then. I've only dyed in the washing machine with really hot water. I'd be worried about not getting the colour even in a tub, but I don't have much experience with dying.

Try posting in crafts.

I totally did this to mine. I had the old style orange one and I dyed it a dark maroon. It took really well and settle into a pretty lighter maroon/rust. I used RIT dye and just dyed it in the sink, tossing it around often. it dyed evenly, but then again i was okay with it however it turned out. my only tip is a sort of obvious dyeing tip which is to dye it a color that works in the color wheel with the original color. As in orange to red or blue to green.
good luck!

I posted over there, thanks for the suggestion. I thought it was a cold water thing? I used to dye prefold diapers but it's been a while. Does it just depend on the dye brand?
