i use legwarmers on my boy all the time, they're great for keeping him from getting rugburn as he's learning to crawl, and they're not girly, just stripes.
we got ours from knottylegs on etsy. the only prob. is that sometimes he pees on them and i don't notice right away... but as we get better at ec'ing we have less of that.

My son's legs were too chubby by the time I discovered leg warmers, but I have plenty stashed that I'll be using on our next son when winter rolls around.

our babylegs are regular version, not the "super soft" line, and even so they are impressively buttery soft.
