My last pregnancy was a planned UC turned transfer and c-section. I was 39w4d with twins and they were breech/vertex... the most dangerous presentation for vag delivery. I still planned to birth at home but even though I was in hard labor I didn't progress at all. A few days later I tested positive for Pre-E so I went on bedrest. I went in to the hospy one night with a killer headache and sure enough I was in labor, contrax every 3 min and strong (they were every 2 min the last time). No dilation or effacement. They babies were stuck. With my BP skyrocketing it was time for a c-section but they were awesome, left my hands free to touch my girls and kiss them and they were brought to me pretty quickly in recovery (ok that took alot of flipping out on them on my part but they smartened up and brought them to me for nursing!). So it wasn't at all what I wanted but it was what needed to happen. I'm planning another UC this time although I went to the midwife today for blood testing because I started spotting. I'll leave them once I know bubs is ok.
