We go there every time we visit the U.S., it's one of the things my DS looks forward to when we go to visit my family. We do not eat there. It can be a little loud/overstimulating for my tastes (not for DS') but I'm usually there with my mom and/or sister and we chat while DS plays. We also tend to go at less busy times.
eta: I do not rely at all on their child-check system.
