As long as they don't add it to the childhood schedule I'm OK with it.

Why wouldn't they add it to the childhood schedule? The only way it will work is to immunize everyone before they reach puberty. It will have to be on the childhood schedule (just like Hep B and Gardasil).

It's a freaking STD.. it's not even a life threatening one as far as I know. This is rediculous. Next thing you know they will come up with a vaccine for stupidity.

They really should administer it to koalas. Chlamydia is a significant problem for the species.

Huh. Whadayaknow? They already have a chlamydia vaccine for koalas --

Why don't we spend that money on free testing and treatment as well as prevention through education?

Oh, duh! I'm an idiot. That would be robbing the FDA and pharma companies of yet another neverending stream of money.

That sentence makes no sense at all...

I didn't know vaccines were considered treatment. I thought they were "supposed" to be preventative. No wonder they always try to get you the tetanus shot as emergency "treatment,"

What stupidity! Chlamydia is highly treatable- the only problem is that it's asymptomatic and can lead to serious complications before it's diagnosed. Wouldn't it be a whole lot safer, and probably more cost effective, to add chlamydia screening along with the regular PAP smears for sexually active women?
