questioning vaccines....please read

My DS is 7 weeks old. We used the diapers the hospital and friends gave us when we got home and he got a contact rash from the diapers. I had planned on using non-chemical diapers, but because of c-section was unable to get to the store. My heart and gut plus all the research I have done has told me not to vaccinate, but I always worry. So I can't help but think...if my DS got a rash from dipaers, what would happen if I allowed him to be vaxed? Do you think the dipaer rash is an indication that he is sensitive to chemicals or am I stretching??

Maybe. Maybe not. I am sure that both rashy and non-rashy babies alike have reactions to vaccines.

My babe has never had anything more than a very slight rash, but I am still not going to vaccinate her.

My dd was hardly ever rashy, but definitely had the DTaP scream. I'd say that if you're having that gut feeling doubt, I'd look into it a heck of a lot further.

Please go with your gut feelings and don't let ANYONE talk you into doing something that doesn't feel right to you.

I am just now reading a book about how we are constantly being bombarded with false information that influence our actions and totally mess up our lives. The only one we have to list to is ourselves. No one else.

We are a non-vaccing family and are very happy about it.

A slightly different view- you had planned to get diapers with fewer chemicals to put on your sweet baby's skin. What research have you done on the chemicals that vaccines would inject directly into your sweet baby?

The way I look at it is, when you vax, you can't take it away. If you wait, you can still give the vaxes later on. Especially since your gut is telling you no, wait at least until you have done the research to make a decision you are comfortable with.

I think if your DS is sensitive to the harsh chemicals found in most disposable diapers, it makes sense that he might be sensitive to the toxic ingredients in vaccines.

Much more importantly, though, your gut says no. Listen to your gut. I've read so many posts on these boards by women whose mommy instincts screamed at them not to vaccinate. They ignored that voice and their child was injured by vaccines. If your gut says not to vax, don't vax. If your research and instincts change down the road, you can always vaccinate later. But once given, you can never take it back. Trust your instincts.

My son cannot wear 'store brand' diapers or he gets very red, but he is selectively vaccinated without issue so far. So I would say maybe maybe not as well. I think there have been some pretty strong connections made between excema and certain vaccines, so you might want to take that into account in your research if you feel it could be an issue.

If your gut says no then dont do it. My gut told me and my DD had a high pitched cry for 2 days after. I was so scared she was never going to be the same again. I wish i never did it and I will never do it again. (A high pitched cry is indicative of brain swelling, but your doctor will tell you its a normal reaction.)

Also disposables with perfume make my DDs butt look like its got sunburn.
