I'm just trying to glean some info here so I'd be real grateful to anyone who can help. My on/off, currently on bf of 6 yrs is going trekking in Nepal with his mom in April. He's told me he's getting loadsa vaccines and I am a bit scared. He is not the sort of person who would question or research these vaxxes, he'll just do it.I have 3 dc and none are vaxxed so he knows my stance and knows I'm worried about him. My bf has severe schizophrenia and has been in and out of hospital since he was 19, he's 30 now and is doing quite well at moment on a dreadfully high dose of 1200mg of clozapine daily for over a year he's been on this and has been on cloz before but he reacted badly then to it. He's very tired, as usual, but has stopped drinking
, stopped smoking pot and is cutting down rolling tobacco as his docs say he may get the cloz. reduced if he can cut down. His liver must be very sad.He is a lot easier to be around and has not been like he used to be, really messed up with episodes that were scary for all concerned.He says things are quieter. He's put on weight and looks healthier he's not nearly as agitated as he used to be. I'm worried the vaccines could affect him badly, he's getting a whole heap of them including polio and I'll find the list I asked him for, theres at least 6 or 7. What are the chances that the vaxxes could react with the clozapine? does anyone know? or does anyone know where I could find more info about this ? Could the vaxes affect his mental state? Ach I'm worried now but he seems unphazed, its just his body has been subjected to over 10 yrs of just about every anti-psycotic med as he was 'non-responsive' to the meds and his white-blood cell test was not as usual recently tho I dont know much about that but I always ask him. My bf doesnt live with me and will be away for nearly a month in Nepal, I'm paranoid something is going to happen to him betwixt the highly toxic clozapine and the same regards the vax.
