No, not in a "screw this- I'm done!" kind of way...
I think I'm finally in a place (thanks to my homeopathic remedy) where I'm no longer completely scared of food. I've been trialing foods one after another after another after another... every once in a while one passes, but usually they fail. And I go into each trial expecting them to fail. Since DD got her homeopathic remedy, her fails aren't nearly as severe and symptoms are usually gone in a couple days.
So here's what I'm thinking. It will be sort of a modified rotation diet. I'm still going to continue eating the same thing that I have been for months (buckwheat, lamb, broccoli, zucchini, palm shortening, and now carrots) every day. But twice a week, I'm going to the grocery store and buying something different- preferably something that I haven't eaten in a while. I'm going to buy enough for one meal (for the family), eat it once, and that's it. Tonight was sweet potatos (I decided all this at the grocery store today.) And it hasn't even been that long since I've eaten them (DD failed the trial about a month ago), but they sounded so good... and they were FABULOUS. We hadn't even finished our nettle trial. But that's ok. No more trials.
I figure by doing this, I will at the very least get us a better variety of nutrients into our diet. And if it works as rotation diets are supposed to, we should avoid reactions. *fingers crossed* I'm not going to do a planned rotation. I'm just going to buy whatever looks good at the time, but try not to buy the same thing that I had last week.
What do you guys think about that idea? I'm obviously not going to buy anything that I suspect DD is IgE to, or any of the top 8 (although I would REALLY like to have eggs back... but I'm going to wait and do a SPT first for those).
I am in a really good place right now (thanks again remedy!), and I'm feeling optimistic. We ARE going to eat more foods, and they are going to be safe and healthy and delicious.
(Thanks PB for the reminders to keep positive energy around our food.)

If only I could get her stupid yeast rash to go away, we might actually get some sleep... it's getting better though.
