Aah, yes- I love that site.

Well, I think the special foods might be on hold for an actual trial : of milk thistle. I had some in tea last night, and DD slept horrible... and since this is something I want to add to my daily diet, I figure I better do a real trial.

I don't think anyone will tar and feather you for doing a trial of something you want to add more permanently. I hope it's a pass! :

cs, have you tried the method that the GAPS author talks about using before you trial a food? Something about putting a bit of the food on your wrist, and...I don't know I better go look it up.

Nope, I've actually never done any skin trials myself on DD. I can't imagine that she would let me put something on her skin and then leave it there though... (of course, I'm not even positive that a skin/patch trial is what you're talking about. )

I put some honey on my son's skin overnight, trying to see if it would help with his 50 ant bites (it didn't, but the homeopathic stuff I got the next day did--another plus for finding a homeopath someday), but what I did was smear it on and then we covered it with gauze and some of that wrapping stuff---which you probably can't use, it's probably got corn in it. I am slow.

I'm going to post this anyway--thinking of you, even though the thought wasn't helpful.

cs, how are you guys doing with this? is J having sx of reactions or anything? are you both eating new things all the time? have things overall been improving on the allergy front? do you feel like the whole detox thing is going successfully for you?

I've been meaning to update this thread... but it's been a lousy week and I haven't been participating much in the forum.

Well, I still haven't wrapped my head around the detox stuff, so we really aren't doing much there (except I started a B-complex and biotin the other day, and a methyl-B12 and mag a few weeks ago.)

Overall, things are fabulous. WAY better than I could have ever hoped for. I still doing some foods on a big rotation. But some things I'm just adding back to my diet on a more regular basis. DD showed a slight reaction to a few things, like banana, quinoa, couple others... but has mostly been symptom free. And the reactions that she does have are really mild.

I think that the new homeopathic remedy is really helping. I am seriously amazed at the progress we've made over the last couple months!!
