I can't believe the guy is still married. Poor wife. And kids.

um yeah. well. if you cant say anything nice...

i am sure he is far far nicer then the editing played him out to be RIGHT?
i met a woman here who was on that same show and she said the editing process was really weird and made the other woman seem really awful when in fact she wasnt at all.

Editing Schmediting, you can't make that stuff up. He SAID those things. His job is in jeapordy b/c of how he acted.

soooo did anyone read his "apology" in which he says he says "Some of my best friends are Midwesterners" sound familiar?

Meh, his wife was just as snotty. Doing that "icky yucky be gone fat vibes" heebie jeebie dance after a consultation with a very overweight person?! Real compassionate, she was actually afraid she'd catch "the fat disease".

I saw the whole episode when it was on and basically sat there with my jaw dropped the entire time. You can "only" edit so much, no amount of editing would make him look better or worse.
I see this show all the time and alot of times the families don't get along (basically the premise of the show) but I've never ever seen anyone be so rude and hateful.

what a conceited...UA~

Wow, he was just a little rude, eh?

although the other family isnt perfect
mom: "I dont know what organic is, but it doesnt sound good" "We eat mainly fast food, its the American way" and she mispronounces so much, no wonder they picked her to feed into that stereotype!

I dont see how paintball isnt exercise, you would think health nut mom would approve, but I guess not. Its running through the woods!
well ill have to watch the rest later!

When you go on one of these shows you have to know that the show will edit out most of the comments and air the more controversial heated comments.

Also, one has to know how the show works. It's going to pair your family with a family that is dramatically different so Fowler should have known the "wife" he was getting would be very unlike his wife. I think his own wife went on the show to get some publicity for her own business but um..guess that backfired. She should have told him to zip it when the guest wife was in their home.

If he touts his IQ as being 150, you'd have thunk he would realize how pompous, insulting, cruel and cutting his remarks would play on TV. His wife at the end seemed shocked? embarrassed? stunned? I think when she heard him after the reunification, she knew there would be a public roasting. Not once in there did she look at him and tell him what he was saying was out of bounds. The way she was with the other family, I think they are good match. Whatever social backlash they get, so be it. They got it coming.

It just goes to show you that knowledge and wisdom are far different things. A wise person treats others with respect.

I've noticed that um, quite a few "crunchy" people are classist. He was a downright nightmare. What a horribly mean guy. And he deserves all the ramifications he's getting for it.

BTW, his children's 40K a year "bilingual" school? Um, they could send their kids to a trilingual school for free. International, no less. It's called "a typical San Fransisco Public School." Might be full of the unwashed masses, though.
