34 week update

I've been seeing my homebirth midwife but because I needed to have my thyroid checked (symptomatic) and baby's position was hard to read, so I decided to seek out a back-up CNM at a hospital to get some testing done. I found out my thyroid IS low and that baby looks fine although slightly transverse (first/only u/s- showed baby 5lb9oz and at 34w5d which is 5 days ahead of my date, not that I'm paying any attention to that). So I am going to start synthroid since I have had breastmilk production problems. Yay for maybe having a normal breastfeeding experience!

I am preparing for my 2nd homebirth and everything is coming along. Got the baby clothes/dipes put away and waiting for Dh to clean out the birth tub and fill it up to make sure it didn't get any holes while in storage. Trying to prepare for baby by minimizing clutter/to-do lists and getting into a simple rhythm. Not too much to update on, but I just wanted to share.

Sounds like a great visit. Glad you are getting your thyroid taking care of, pregnancy can be really hard on our thyroids.
