Me, too! I was wracking my brain going, he was in a zombie movie, and I don't remember him? Really?!

My favorite non-firefly role for him, hands down, is in Death at a Funeral. OMG. My parents watched that on plane with headphones on, and I think they were scaring people, they were laughing so hard when he was all accidentally high. Love the British Comedy.

I JUST got around to watching the season finale last night - AWESOME! I thought it was hilarious when Ballard catches Caroline's wedge and Echo says "You saved her!" So Whedon to have the strapping hot guy save the girl........'s computer-disk-personality. I thought it was great, he got to kind of help her, but obviously she really saved herself.

I was always suspicious of Dr. S, she's really too pretty to be just an employee.

I actually thought it was sweet/touching that Ballard chose to let Mellie go rather than Caroline.

Can't wait for next season!

Anyone here get the DVDs to see Epitaph One (Episode 13)? If you have Netflix and want to get just that one disc, it is on Disc 4 along with the unaired original pilot and some other extras.

Yes! I loved it!
I thought the first pilot episode was awful, though.

It wasn't so much that the first pilot was aweful to me but what were they expecting to do if they played all those cards at the very beginning?

I'm loving the commentary on Epitaph One. Maurissa and Jed are a hoot. I also love how on one of the extras many of the cast and crew are speculating that if anyone in the cast were really an active it would be Joss and those two are like "He's kind of a funny looking doll." and "Who's fantasy was that."

I liked Stage Fright better this time. What was considered at the time bad acting on Eliza's part now looks like signs of Caroline coming through in stressful situations. The only bad thing is now I have that Freedom song stuck in my head. Arghhhh.

Just read that Jamie Bamber - Apollo on Battlestar Galactica - is going to be in the first episode of the season.

YUM!

Just watched Epitaph on Amazon.com the other day - thought it was excellent. I may still Netflix the DVD to hear the commentary.

To continue the geek fest, Jonathan Frakes will direct one of the first few episodes.

I wonder if they'll have Jamie Bamber use his regular accent. It also so interesting in behind the scenes BSG stuff to hear him sound more like Baltar than his father.

OOOOHHHH! DH will be excited about Jonathan Frakes directing.

I LOOOVVVVEEE a British accent, but Jamie Bamber is the one human on Earth that I feel sounds better with an American accent!

And, I'm a geek and proud of it!

Can't wait for the premiere! September 25th was the last I heard. I think I've just fated myself to go into labor that day. (And our VCR just died and we don't have DVR! The hospital has wifi though...)

In more spoilery casting geeky goodness....

Alexis Denisov will play a senator and Summer Glau a techy from another house

When I read that Bamber, Alexis Denisoff, and Summer Glau were all going to be on, I actually threw my EW magazine across the room, I was so excited. I am in TV heaven. I never thought, as all my fav shows have gone away over the years, that this day would come again! :P

I really really need to get the DVD. Gotta remember to do that...

St. Margaret, to make you even happier, I read that Michael Hogan (Colonel Tighe of BSG) will also be guest starring.

I feel the same way you do. I LOVED all of the Whedon shows. DH and I ADORED BSG.

I've watched some of the BSG specials, and Joss Whedon was a huge fan. I think between that and him always bringing back his own "people" in his shows, it will be a sweet ride.
