After the recent Nestle boycott post, I did more research on it and came up with what I've known already thus far. So maybe someone can help me out...
The reason there is such a big boycott of Nestle (more so than other formula brands?) is because they were promoting them in underdeveloped countries. Correct? I am aware of the reasons why this is harmful, that I don't need explained. Just need some clarifying...
does this mean that other formula companies do not market in underdeveloped countries at all?? That Nestle really was the only one to do it? No one else has ever tried to do it?
Or is there some other issue dealing with Nestle that I don't know about?

: They do not abide by the Code, and have insidious marketing practices both in rich and poor countries. They spend tonnes of money figuring out how to get mothers not to breastfeed.
:
and am of course willing to boycott, but first want to be convinced of the reasons. Sadly, if you want to boycott every big company that is involved in unethical practices, you are going to have a hard time eating these days, or doing anything else
