Oh, yes! Here here! I'd love to read updates, too!

I just ran across this and wanted to add that we had MIRACULOUS success with NAET for my highly sensitive Dd. I was trying to add to the TED for about 5 months before I got so desperate to try NAET (I only was able to add 14 foods to my diet in those 5 months; I was shutting down physically and emotionally!). It did sound very strange, but it was my last ditch effort to maintain my sanity as well as my breastfeeding relationship!

Anyway, NAET totally worked for my daughter. She was 9 months old when we started and we finished up just a couple of weeks after her first birthday. She was reactive to all but about 2 items in the NAET practitioner's collection of vials. Plus, off the wall things like our tap water from home...

If anyone wants to try NAET, I highly highly recommend finding a referral word-of-mouth. It's such an unregulated field and there are definitely some total quacks out there! Our practitioner was super weird, personality-wise, but he sure did know his stuff!

I'd love to know how it ended up too!

Becken, how much did it cost you? I'm seriously considering this for our family starting with my 4 yo dd.

The initial visit was, I believe, $140ish and included one treatment. After that it was $55 each time. My Dd was so bad that he didn't usually try to clear more than one item at a time, although I have heard that it can be done successfully.

It was all out of pocket, but completely and utterly worth it.

If you think about how much you'd be spending on specialty foods (and formula, in our case), it ended up being much cheaper than any other alternative in the long run!

If you have a health insurance plan that allows for a Health Savings Account, you can use the money from your HSA for the treatments. At least that way you're using pre-tax dollars!

HTH.

Thanks Becken! I mostly asked so I can mentally prepare myself for the up front cost. We spend lots on food plus the social annoyance/cost so I'm sure it would be worth it. Time to ask on my local board for recommendations for Naet and anything else that has worked for people.

I don't think there's a minimum age, at least with NAET. When it's a tiny person, the treatment is done on a surrogate who maintains skin-to-skin contact with the patient. I just put Dd in the sling with our naked tummies touching and the practitioner did all the muscle testing and whatnot on me. Sounds crazy, but it works!

I live in Hudsonville Michigan and would love to know the name of this doctor because I have a lot of food allergies and am in the process of recovering from Lymes Disease.  If you could post their name or possibly some contact information I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much!
