Hi Mamas~
dental troubles here too...I am so baffled and overwhelmed! I'm also really feeling for all the Mamas who post here with the same challenges for their tiny people. It's so hard.
We first took Aidan to the family dentist when he was 14 months old, with those lines near the gum, on his top two front teeth. said dentist had no idea what they were, but suggested it might be a weak enamel issue. Just watch them, he said.
Next we went to our naturopath. She didn't know either. We were beginning to work on leaky gut things then, so we were a little ahead on a few things.
In the interim, I began reading here ((love)) that sticky now, but I hadn't discovered it yet. Back to the naturopath, picked up a few more tips.
Back to family dentist after a while because the lines were now seeming to 'spread' into a muddy patch across one of his teeth. Try a little fluoride toothpaste on your finger, rub it around, was his advice.
Posted here looking for a dentist, found one, tried it. he pushed fluoride varnish, we declined. he used iodine wash instead. By this time, 8 months ago, one of Aidan's teeth was slowly dissipating, the enamel was breaking down so that about a quarter of his tooth was just gone. We eventually allowed this one to be stainless steel banded with a glass ionomer cement because it was bothering Aidan. All this time, I was asking, each appointment for the dentist to check on a molar with a dark spot obvious to me. he told me twice it looked ok..whatever I was doing, keep doing it. We thought this cavity was healed. It's not, it's worse.
After all this, I visited three other dentists. The last one, today, said that 12 of Aidan's 20 teeth need fillings, one in particular. His suggestion, no surprise, is GA, fix'em all.
Since our second visit to the naturopath, I have been reading, printing out that sticky, studying, it's just dizzymaking.
Our program has included and has been posted before...
for Aidan-

Cal phos

we still nurse strong, although Aidan has not nursed to sleep four nights in a row. I am not encouraging weaning in any way, at any time.
I'm moving towards a TF diet, studying that too.

I'm grateful for any line of questioning, information, tips, advice or commiseration! lol
