I currently have a WHAM/WOHM job writing for a company website. I am filling it with descriptions of what the company does and examples of their work. I am also working on some photos for banner-type illustrations.

I officially have contact with the head of the company, but he had passed this work onto someone else, so most of my contact is with her. I also have to get product managers to agree on the content of the texts about 'their' products. I find that I am spending much more time chasing people to get them to look at the texts that I have written, than writing.

I am also in a situation where one person will not tell me what he thinks of the texts I have written. In addition, some people feel put out that I have been hired. They feel that this means that their product texts were not good enough.

For another job that I do, nearly all of my contact with the company is via one editor. That is much clearer.

How many people you work with for paid writing jobs? How do you make arrangements about this?
