Our DS only rides the bus home after school. In the mornings he rides with Daddy to school. Reason is, I think its crazy that he has to be at the bus stop at 7:00AM when school doesn't start till 8 AM. The school bus gets to school 7:30 AM. So by taking him to school in the morning gives hime 30 more minutes of sleep, breakfast and more extra snuggles with mom.
