than a momma who picks the pre-digested, post-pooped, pre-washed beans and peas off her LO's diapers as she pulls them out of the washer to hang dry.

This kind of thing doesn't even phase me anymore!

I can barely eat black beans, blueberries and corn anymore. Oh, and for some reason we also get orange strings (DD eats about four of those little seedless clementines a day!). Ick!!

LOL, so true... sometimes I stop and think that I should give my mom an extra hug for go through so much thankless work when we were little. There isn't anyone there patting you on the back while you are going through it, that's for sure!

And oh heavens, the first time DS1 had banana... it looked like little black worms! I've seen so many posts on here of people freaking out, trying to figure out what's wrong with their baby's poop, and it's so often from eating banana. It always makes me laugh to remember myself with my face about an inch away from that poopy diaper trying to figure out what it was.

Never been so interested in or knowledgeable about poop in all my life!

There's nothing like the 10 million tiny black seeds from a kiwi. Nothing compares!

SEE! I swear I've seen this question about a hundred times! It should be a standard piece of information they send you home with when your baby is about to start solid foods. Doctor's offices must get frantic calls all the time about black worms!

I have had this with all of my kids and STILL have to think long and hard when I see it! It's just the craziest looking thing!

And I agree with Mandy - surely this should be information given to parents!
