I just posted this on the breastfeeding board, but wanted to see what you all thought here.
My DS is just over 9 months old, but he's quite heavy --- not so much chubby, but solid. He's had several allergies to foods, and that is one of the many reasons I have stopped solids (regrettably started at 5.5 months), and gone back to EBF.
I just get concerned that perhaps it's not enough. I know everyone says it's ok until at least a year...but I've met 3-year-olds that weigh less than my 9-month-old, and think twice. It's just so hard to find a food that he doesn't react to, and of course, I don't trust what the pediatricians have been saying, esp when they think food intolerances should be filed under "folk medicine," whatever that means.
They think he should be eating three meals a day plus snacks...but then what I do I replace my breast milk with once my supply dwindles down? Not cows' milk and not soy milk, either! And forget formula...Sorry for getting off track.
Any thoughts? Thank you!
