Muscle Milk

I was flipping through Dh's Men's Health Mag tonight (I think that's what it was) and I saw an ad for Muscle Milk. The image was that of a baby nursing, the entire breast exposed and the shot was centered around the breast and baby's face. The first sentence of the ad read read "Milk is for babies." I was just thrilled that the image was of a nursing child not a bottle or a cow or a carton of milk but that it was Breast Milk is for babies. No idea of the value of the product etc. but : for viewing breastfeeding as normal and right.

Muscle Milk does seem to support breastfeeding as healthy, optimal nutrition.

I sometimes use it when lifting weights -- the whole label talks about how great human milk is. Some random quotes from the label:

--it's patterned after Nature's ultimate anabolic food -- human mother's milk
--it's the quintessential growth promoter
--Studies show that *growth factors* in mother's milk can wake up inborn growth receptors, even in adults. These growth receptors, which help boost immunity and growth in infants....

etc.

I've been pretty amused that weight lifters will know more about the benefits of human milk than everyone else. And that there ARE companies that DO know just how beneficial mother's milk is.

Heck, it might even be a good substitute for formula if not for the lower fat, lack of lactose, and artificial sweeteners....definitely more advanced than corn syrup solids.

And I'd really drink it more since it's so yummy if not for that pesky sucralose... that stuff gives me serious headaches.
