It's Wellness Zinc Lozenges in Peach-Raspberry. Zinc is in the form of gluconate, ascorbate, and amino acid chelate.

I took it over 2 hours ago and I still want to vomit. It's like there's bile stuck in my throat. And I've had tea with honey (and a bunch of meringue cookies) since and nothing is getting rid of the taste. I think I can add these to the cupboard where I'm keeping the give-away supplements. Anybody want them? Yuck.

This is the reason I take my zinc supp in pill form. I've only ever tried one brand of zinc lozenges (Jamison, Canadian brand) and I will *never* EVER ever subject myself to that horror again. Yuck is right.

Today dd woke up asking for chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. I don't think she's ever seen or had chocolate chip pancakes in her life!

So what did we do? We made pancakes and broke out the enjoy life chocolate chips to put on top. And then she was asking for chocolate all morning long. Then I finally remembered that we have a 5# bag of pumpkin seeds from Azure that we've been avoiding for failsafe... I started a bunch to soak, and gave dd a handful. She chose them over the chocolate and asked for more

So today's favorite foods are chocolate and pumpkin seeds. Gee, think this girl needs some more magnesium?

Combine those with her beloved avocado and bananas and raw meat (B6)... think she needs to up her transsulfuration?

I, on the other hand, have a tummy ache. I think it's from upping my B6 then snacking on magnesium-rich foods that I *don't* need.

shannon, i have such a hard time assimilating info through the computer. i don't know why, but i always have. i wish we all lived closer to each other. i would seriously love an off-the-computer study session.

i think i need to bust out my spiral note book and start writing things out and drawing pictures and charts and all that.

also, we all need to get on a conference call or something. i know we're all on different time zones though.

I am so right there with you. I actually put a biochemistry text on hold at the library today, hoping that it will help me assimilate some of this information (I just don't like reading long pieces on the computer ... my eyes don't appreciate it).

I can understand a well-written article, but it's so hard to find those! Normally I'm a total paper scrooge, but I've been printing EVERYTHING out and taking notes on the backs of pages.

let's set up a teleconference to at least give everyone a starting point/frame of reference for everything else?

and another update for today... dd ate THREE big-ish bowls of applesauce for dessert. We snuck some vitamin C into the first one She also enjoyed her spinach salad and the celery and carrots from the risotto we had for dinner...

Yeah, that's the problem. I need to print things out and do the whole annotation thing. But, I hate to "waste" paper. Maybe if I assemble it into some coherent fashion in a 3 ring binder, I can call it a "coursepack". (Can you tell that I'm gearing up to go back to school soon here? )

I will check out the teleconference link in a sec.

How old is your daughter? Sounds like she has a wonderful diet.

YES to this! And that is what I have done. I started printing things out and putting them in a binder, but now I have so much I need binder dividers. That is just how my brain functions.

I hope we can get the teleconference thing together!

Is it okay to supplement HCl? I am starting digestive enzymes for us all (I need to order the Houston's for my boys), but I don't know if I can make sure to serve the right foods with each meal for all of us to produce adequate stomach acid. Will the digestive enzymes alone help?

Two big pee misses today. Darn.
is that a "rxn" symptom for you guys? i think i need to pay closer attention to my little one. she doesn't get skin stuff, so i think i need to watch for days when she pees on the floor vs. days when she takes herself potty all day no problem. although, she hasn't pooped since saturday since she went on a food strike when she got sick. i've caught her squatting and grunting in the living room a few times but when i move her to the potty, the moment has passed...

Since we've gone to panties during the day, I've definitely noticed that as a reaction. (We were ec-ing, just using cd's before.) On bad days we'll go through like 6 pairs of pants.. On good days, she'll have one pair of undies on for the whole day!

I haven't been able to link it to anything specific, just good periods and bad periods. At 4mo, 14mo, and about 22mo, she went through completely dry phases. And the rest of the time was totally hit or miss. If she could keep herself dry at 4mo, why can't she now? And now my best guess is that it's a toxin load thing.

Okay, I'm wondering if the pee misses are related to our butter trial.

In other news, MORE PROGRESS!

Dh and dd BOTH passed the tomato test They both clearly failed last time we had fresh tomatoes at the end of the summer. Dd LOVED them, and ate at least a half a tomato herself even though it was a mediocre out of season one. But NO RASH. At all. Tomatoes are officially back on the menu

(as a reminder, I think that getting a contact rash from raw tomatoes may be an indicator of how high your histamine is, which may tell how low your methylation is)

Oh, and other favorite foods of today: soaked, slow roasted pumpkin seeds and chocolate chips.

We're also trying to push vitamin C in the form of sodium ascorbate mixed into applesauce.

: Yay! Tomatoes!

Pasteurized dairy and high salicylate loading is associated with pee misses here. Interestingly, ds has been eating many more fruits high in salicylates without an issue, with more zinc and magnesium intake.

I think ds#2 might be having night-time pee issues here again. I was so hoping that bringing dairy back in wouldn't undo what had been done by going dairy free for six weeks (ds#2 went from having at least 2 pee episodes most nights, which usually resulted in leaking out of his pull-up, to having 0-1 episode each night). Maybe I'll take him off all dairy except raw milk and see if that makes a difference, or if it's any dairy. I really don't want to have to take him back off dairy if I don't have to.
