Oh I LOVE that idea!

Oh, I even have pumpkin colored yarn! I can't wait to search Ravelry for baby patterns and knit all things baby for the next nine months! OH, I'm soooo giddy now!

I love the idea of making a pumpkin hat, but I'll probably end up using a different pattern from a lot of people, just because there's one in a book I have (Itty Bitty Hats). I haven't made much from the book so far, and I'd like to feel like I've gotten some use out of my money.

I forgot about the pumpkin pattern in that book!! I'm going to probably use that one as well. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the reversible stripes and dots hat and really want to make the inca snowflake hat too because it is so cute and the ear flaps would come in handy during the winter. I may choose a different yarn though because I don't want it to be itchy but I also don't want to have to sew in a fleece liner.

I crochet and have my own webstore. I'm a bit nervous about starting something, though.

Pumpkin Hat! Great idea. Here is what I am thinking so far, but will need some help from my knitting group to get it all done:

1 heirloom quality blanket
1 obnoxiously bright colored kid-proof blanket (babies love bright colors)
Soakers - 2 small, 2 larger
Longies - 2 small, 2 larger
Booties - 3 (one newborn, two larger)
Hats - 4 (two newborn, two larger)
Sweater/cardigan - 1 small, 1 larger

Don't think that is all going to happen, but I can still hope, right?
What do you guys think? To much? Am I missing something?

I was just thinking about pulling my wool and needles out when I realized all of my patterns were on my laptop before it crashed. I'm kind of frustrated. I had a couple from wooly wonders and many bookmarked online.

I love the knitting together idea! I will have to get some help from my Aunt with the longings.

Me me me!!! I have been knitting, spinning, dyeing for a couple years now.

I have a huge queue on Ravelry that is quickly being dominated by baby things. I am woring right now on Gro's Sweet Baby cap, in peachy and turquoise stripes, Knitpicks Palette(love this cheap yarn!) with a pair of Sjaarte's Booties to match. I have to finish some promised projects for the rest of the family and then I plan on spending the rest of the pregnancy on knits for the babe. My last babe, so it needs to be well decked out, right?

Oooh, I want to make a pumpkin hat! Or several. I have sooooo many projects (not even knitting) to finish, though. Sigh. I'll get there.

Last week at our stitch n'bitch dinner one of the women mentioned how there are way too many pregnant women right now. "No one else get pregnant, please! I've got too many babies to knit for!" I haven't told them yet, hahaha!

Browsing the web this morning... found this very adorable pumpkin hat with a nice leaf and curly stem. I might experiment with the leaf and see if I can make it a little more organic-looking/less flat.

Curious for those of you who have used your own knitted soakers - are they truly waterproof? Do you felt/full them? Do you often have to wash poo out of them?

*sniff sniff* I sure wish I knew how to knit! It sounds like you ladies are having such fun.

I'll be making hats, socks, baby legs, gowns and maybe some woolies.

Kudos to you mamas! I WISH I had the patience for knitting. My Grandma was a hardcore knitter and tried to teach me, but I always got too frustrated and walked away.
