help--heavy wetting side sleeper soaking through at night

Thread Starter
A couple of times in the last 10 days or so my 2.5 month old DS has soaked through his nighttime diaper while sleeping on his side. Both times the diaper was very wet in the front but the outside of the back was dry or just slightly damp to the touch, and he was wearing a wool soaker. Apparently there's just not enough absorbency on the sides of my fitteds to contain a pee once the inside of the diaper is wet. How can I diaper him so this won't happen? I have prefolds too and a pretty good selection of doublers.

My toddler did that when I used pocket trainers at night - no matter the absorbancy.....when I used a toddler prefold and some sort of doubler under a wool soaker or a fitted with a doubler snapped in and an extra one - no leaks...ever!

same answer that I used in another thread.

Nikky covers were my savior.

They did what no other cover could -- contain my heavy wetter sons at night.

For nights we use 2 inserts, 1 hemp and 1 microfiber. Then use a wonder wraps cover. No leaks

We did this except inside a BG 3.0. I know my Thirsties covers held up like a champ. I haven't tried the wonder wraps at night yet. They did hold up for a long nap with a Dream-Eze fitted.
