I'm a grandma so I'm not in charge of anyone getting vaxed except myself. But I don't think you were referring to grandmothers skipping their required vaccinations.

Another grandma here and I can say for certain that my three, soon to be four, grandchildren will most certainly not be vaccinated EVER.

No vax for us!

I think we will delay indefinitely. (DH still is not sold, but I can't see doing it)

Delayed and very selective.

do not intend to ever be anywhere close to a vaccine again.

Been there, done that, drank the Kool Aid. I've got one vaxed kid, one unvaxed kid... the differences speak for themselves.

Hi, I'm Katie! I read this forum lots and sometimes post...
I have a 10 month old baby girl, non vaccinated, and I don't plan to vaccinate her ever, but it's easy to say "not until she is two, at least!" Dp is not totally on the same page...but I think he would be if he had the same information as me! It's a little tricky, because apparently his mom is a public health nurse and for years, her job was to make sure that people were being vaccinated. So she is appalled at this decision not to vax, but oh well. (now she does something with maternity at a hospital and was highly disapproving of my homebirth...she thinks i am very crazy and dangerous.)

It is so helpful to check in here and read about people's findings, experiences, etc.

I'm also delaying...maybe forever. I can't see ever feeling the need, but you never know. my son is 10 months old and if we ever did any it wouldn't be until he was over 2.

My children are older, one is an adult and even though she was vaxed to 5, she has never received another one, and is now refusing (HPV) vaccines without my help. My other two have never had a vaccination in their lives and won't as long as they are under my care.

Delaying in a forever kind of way. DS is 1 year and so far has not had one vax and very likely won't have any... although IL's are doing their nut.

We don't vax anymore, but we did for the first few well baby visits (unfortunatelly)

Daughter was vaccinated for Hep B. When we started to educate ourselves for the 2mos shots, the choice became clear that they are not worth it. Now we feel very betrayed, and are totally against vaccinations!

She is 16-17mo now and the only time she ever had a fever was after her Hep B. She cried inconsolably for hours after the injection. Gave the Pediatrician a call and he said that she is fine, he even mentioned maybe it was my BM causing her belly pain, milk allergy from me drinking milk. Needless to say we found a new pediatrician after he gave us a hard time stopping vaccinations. He told us stories of parents that lost their kids because they got meningitis and felt so guilty.

How do you know it was the polio vaccine? Just curious, since usually OPV is given at the same time as a bunch of other vaccinations.

No vaccines for us. My oldest had a bad reaction (screaming, high fever, huge hot lump at the injection site, head-banging, clawing, seizure episodes) to her 2nd set of shots. We put her on a delayed schedule, and while researching we realized that none of the shots are worth the risks.

DD is partially vaxed (unfortunately), we stopped at 6 months. No more vaxes for us...EVER!
