jacks birth story
On Sunday Feb 8th around 9am i started feeling pressure in groin area. no biggie. i was busy taking care of kids and doing laundry dishes general cleaning. talked to my mom on phone and she told me to slow my breathing down. i was like ok but i am not sure what this is contractions or pressure. it has to be just more pressure. get off phone with her. hubby was at work doing overtime. so around 1030 i call mom again and start chatting tell her omg i havent showered cleaned or packed anything. she is like well you better go shower and get packing cuase i think jack is coming today. and tells me that she is going to jump in shower as well. 11 am hubby calls and says finshed OT early and he is on his way home. I say nothing becuase pressure(contractions) werent really bad.). i go put makayla down for nap and jump in the shower shave etc. get out of shower having contractions that i couldnt talk through. call my mom tell her. she is like ok well what is cell and home number i give them to her. and call hubby at 1145 tell him to step on it getting home. he arrives at noon. I also called my sister and she says that she heading up. but is 1.5 hrs away. I call my mom no answer. so sister calls her no answer at house or cell. so we assume that she was on her way up to here to get kids. i am then trying to pack a hospital bag and bag for the girls. i get that done. at 1pm i decide that we have to head to hosptail. i call my moms cell no answer. so i call house She answers and i say we are heading to hospital and in shock that she is still at home. She responds with can you wait a HOUR. I have to jump in the shower. I was NO I CANT WAIT A HOUR meet us at the hospital. She says ok. I call my sister at 115 say we are leaving for hospital. she says ok i am 5 minutes from moms house. i give her wrong address to hospital. not realizing it. gave her a address for further down the road. We load the girls in the car and leave for hospital. we call sister around 130 she still hasnt left my moms house to head up. 145pm we arrive at hospital and hubby had called his mom at 130 but she wasnt home so his aunt calls her on cell. she is like 1 hr away. she calls back and offers to come up but since at 145 my sister tells me she is 30 minutes away he tells his mom not to head up. I walk into hospital and get in wheelchair and go to L&d. Get there and midwife with personality of a nat is there sees me and gives me a weird look becuase i didnt look like i was in labor. They then cant find my chart becuase it was still at the office from my last visit. they get me into triage we bring kids in. i drink some water and laying their in pain. Silent during contractions. Midwife checks me and says i am 8-9 cm with bulging bag. then i proceeded to feel sick. so i tell hubby to take kids and go to waiting area. Then after registering me partially they decide to take me to a room. I get in there I am i am curled up on the bed on my side in pain. saying OMG i cant do this. the nurse asks me what i want for pain if anything. I yell out Do u have Stadol. she is like yah i will have her order it when she gets back with your chart. i have to finsh registering you. I wait. still in pain. telling the nurse that i was feeling tons of pressure and he was pushing on my back. I ask her to check me. she says she will then midwife walks in. checks me and says i am complete. I tell her not to break my water. i then say i cant do this she is like yes you can let your body do it. she tells me to push and water will break on own. 1 push water breaks. then 1 more push moves him down cause he was still high.. push 3 head is out. then i was still pushing without contraction. he is on my perntinium. she tells me to give it a rest. then next contraction he was out. I had no ring of fire. no tearing. born at 311pm 7 lbs 13.5 oz. 19.5 inches. then they ask if i want to hold him on chest i say no becuase i was in pain stil. so they go weigh him. i am at the time saying OMG UNBELIVEABLE THAT WAS AMAZING. over and over. It is so much better than a epidural. Midwife was i am sure wanting to laugh. then nurse says to me can i go and tell your husband that he is here. she goes out to waiting area still no mom and sis. and says he is here. hubby is on phone with his mom. pissed that my mom and sis werent still there. and he goes whose here? the nurse goes your son. Mil hears that and says omg did nurse just say Jack is here. hubby is like yah. She goes OMG YOU MISSED IT. Then My sister and mother proceed to walk in. and sister says sorry for taking so long. he was like it is ok jack is already here. sister starts crying. My mother responds with Well it is your sisters fault he missed it she waited to long." Hubby is like well i got to go see melanie. and leaves. so yep that is the adventrous birth of Jack Michael
