what type of fabric would you use? what size? Just a hemmed edge? I don't have a serger. I'm thinking some square ones and tichels. Also maybe a mantilla. (not the bridal type.)

also, if anyone has any idea how the mantillas stay put? that would be great.
I absolutely love the look of a head covering which isn't secured under the neck or behind the head in any way, but where the sides just hand down on the sides of your face. But I have no clue how to wear that for anything resembling real life. Also, what sizes do you think these types of things would be? what type of fabric? Any ideas on making the shapes for some of the more complicated looking ones? Thanks
