Goodbye dear homebirth, I knew you well.

I had a NST today and it turned out fine. But....... after alot of personal reflection and talking to my OB, I have come to the realization that this isn't going to happen on it's own. The level of stress in my life is outrageous and I am convinced that is why this baby is not here yet. I have tried everything I can think of, accupreassure, black coshosh, peppermint oil, clary sage. Sex, nipple stim, name it I have tried it, had my membranes stripped. I haven't had a contrax in 2 days. I did a whole bunch of castor oil the other day and all I got was a painful bum

I'm ok with this though, I think God is telling me he has different plans, and there is some big reason why I have to go in.

I'm having a foley induction, no pit. Heplock and my OB told L&S not to order c/s labs.
He can not get out of the monitoring though, but I plan on taking the leads off when no nurses are around.

Right now I have about 1/2 a brain, my kids are helping me pack a bag so I can go in.

I got misty eyed earlier, mostly when my OB was apologizing over and over, but I told him it's ok. I knew going into this pregnancy that my chances of an HB were small. Better luck next time.

Hugs! Things will go well, keep thinking of my 2hr induced VBAC I just had. Just go pee often to get out of the monitoring, lol. Taking the leads off won't really help as they have a way of monitoring you outside the room in most cases and they'll know. The cords are generally fairly long though, you can still use a birthing ball and a rocking chair and squat by the bed etc. Let us know!

I am sorry that things aren't working out how you imagined them. I hope the birth goes wonderful and it is still a positive experience. Hugs to you and your family!

A hospital birth, even an induced one, can still be a beautiful birth and is just as meaningful and miraculous as any homebirth. I understand your sadness and disappointment though.

Your baby will be here soon! Hooray!

I just had a wonderful beautiful natural hospital birth a couple days ago. So good luck! It can still work out great, and you'll soon have your baby.
