am i the only one watching survivor? - Page 3

I think JT did know Stephen was going to vote for Coach--not because of a Stephen/Taj alliance, but because it was a smart move & Stephen makes smart moves.

JT didn't have to vote for Coach, so he didn't. It's a brilliant strategy to vote in the minority while building the jury.

So, who is going to win?

I say JT.

Stephen has played the game equally well, but I fear his subtlety will win him #2.

Taj has also played a good game, but her big strategic powerplay (Exile alliance) failed.

Does anyone want to play Survivor? I'd so love it...but no way could I leave my family. Dh wants to play....

I would love to play survivor. Not to get the million, but to make it to the final 8 to be on the jury. Then I could live at Ponderosa and have a blast. Last seasons Ponderosa was amazing.

Dh would love to play but he has a rare health condition where he has to eat regularly and well or he could die. I don't think he is a candidate.

Do they give them supplements or something that was don't see on camera?

Speaking of no food, Coach needed to go. He was looking so sickly skinny.

I totally agree. They are best buds. They even listened to each other while showering on the reward. Eeew!

Any thoughts on the finale?

I was not shocked by the outcome but was kind of surprised that the runner up didn't get any votes (don't want to spoil it in case someone hasn't seen it yet).

Totally disappointed, I thought Stephen was the real mastermind behind their alliance. Felt like everyone just liked JT better. I did feel like Stephen didn't plead his case very well.

I agree. I think Stephen should have had a better argument at the end. I was shocked that he didn't get any votes!

I was just so bummer about Taj being kicked out and not getting to the final 3.

I do think that Stephen did a terrible job before the jury.

I don't think that the million dollar winner should be eligible for the 100,000. What do you think?

If JT had not won those 3 immunities I do not think he would have made it to the final 2. Stephen was not going to take JT

I had the *same* thought last night!

I was ok with the winner, although, i really liked Stephen, and wanted him to win. The thing with JT, is he is so charismatic, remember when Brenden told the cameras (not JT), that he wanted to take JT to the finals, just so JT could win the million, knowing no one could beat JT? And when Jeff asked Taj why didnt anyone get JT out earlier, knowing how popular he was, she said she didnt know, he was just so sweet. So...it almost seems like Stephen had the harder game, because here he is this cerebral, geeky, not really athletic guy, who had to scramble, to play everyone in order to stay one step ahead....but JT apparently just had to smile and be his usual charming self and every single person liked the guy. Its like he skated to the million. Didnt, at one point, the tribe want to vote JT out but stephen did some fancy maneuvering to save him?

That being said, JT seems like a really nice, genuine guy and i'm not mad he got the money. I was surprised that not even Taj votes for Stephen though. I thought it was hilarious how Jeff asked JT if he was really upset when he appeared to be, at jury, when Stephen said he would probably have brought Erinn had he gotten immunity..and JT said naw, he was just playin. So cute. He and Stephen really seem like good friends, as unlikely as that pair might seem to be.

That thing with Coach, the lie detector, ugh...either that was BS, or he believes his stories so much that they *become* truth to him, because there is no way i'm buying that that story is true. He has a "lady friend"...ewww....the thought of having to sleep with "Coach"...*shudder*

I thought it was interesting that...gosh blanking on her name?? The girl everyone was being mean to, that was in an alliance with brendan...that she was in the running for fan fav. I do agree though that i dont get why everyone was being so awful to her.

I must have missed the first couple of episodes of the season...i thought Stephen and *Taj* had the stronger alliance, more "true" than JT and Stephen...who made the alliance earlier? I guess i missed that. I thought JT was pulled in later, but maybe only Taj thought that, but JT and Stephen had gotten together much earlier??

Why is it that the guys always look better IMO on the island, and less so at the reunion? Whereas the girls look all skinny on the island and much nicer at the reunion. I guess i like my guys a little rough like they've just been wrestling a shark or something.

Does the runner up get money too? Or am i just thinking of Big Brother?

I think Stephen was a snake in the grass. I was so glad he didn't get a single vote. All he did was ride other people's success to the end -- and yes, maybe that makes him a "good player" of the game, but it doesn't make him someone deserving of the win in my books!

I thought JT was about a million times hotter on the island... LOVE the scruff and the messy hair. MROWR!

Funny, I've never watched Survivor before this season, and the first episode was on the night that I was in labour -- I watched it just because I wanted something on the TV to concentrate on between contractions. It's like the end of an era to see this season finished!

Yes, each player gets cash, depending on where they fell in the pecking order. Even the first player out gets a little money...not much, but a little. Runner up gets $100,000 I think.

As far as looking better on the island, Ethan from the 3rd season was much better looking on the show than on the reunion. And Stephanie (from two of the seasons she was in) was the only woman that looked better on the island than in the reunion, IMO.

OMG, that totally cracked me up. And yes, I totally agree that JT was WAY hotter on the island.

I agree. I was also bummed that he didn't get any votes because I thought he was a GREAT player.

I TOTALLY Agree -- I think the guys (J.T. and Brendan too!) looked way better on island than off...the reverse is true for the girls.

See, i thought Stephen was always working everyone, always trying to think one step ahead, manipulate people, think of any possible outcome and plan for it. He had a point, when one of the jury members accused him of making alliances w/ everyone, when he said he played an aggressive game, and used those relationships to further himself in the game, and if you respect that way of playing, then you do, but if you dont, you dont. I think he had a much bigger hill to climb than JT.

Plus, i think his brain is really hot. When he came from way behind to win that challenge where they had the math symbols and had to add everything together, and he was explaining how he figured it out, using logic/math...to me, thats way sexier than just powering through using physical strength. I Heart Stephen. (If anyone watches Days of our Lives, i think he looks like Nick Fallon's geekier older brother.)

It was a woman (brunette/young/pretty - Jenna?) that beat the crazy machete guy (Matt?).

Let me go look it up...

ETA: I was right. It's Jenna from Amazon. Check out this link of all the winners - how many of these people just fell off the face of the earth? http://survivorwiki.wetpaint.com/pag...Winners?t=anon

that site says that Earl from Fiji got all the votes, are there three? or did jenna not get them all in her season?
Shoot. You're right. Jenna beat Mathew 6/1. Man, I totally remember Jeff going on about Jenna getting all the votes! Is it bad that I can just make stuff up and it's not reality in my brain?!
