It gets better!

So I told you guys about the whole L&D fiasco on Saturday with the bleeding. Today I show up for my NST and my blood pressure was alot higher than normal. It was 139/88. It was slightly elevated on Saturday too when I was in the hospital. I got to go see the doc immediately following the NST because of this. She ordered blood tests and a 24 hour urine to be done. Now I wait to see what transpires.
I can't wait to be done with this pregnancy and hold my baby in my arms. The anxiety is really making me a basket case.

Do they think you might have pre-eclampsia?

I'm sorry about that. Sounds like they are checking for pre-eclampsia. Hope your test results come back just fine.

Hang in there

I'm hoping it's not pre-eclampsia. I've never been this pregnant before though so I'm not sure if I'm prone to it or not... They ran the blood work today, and I have to turn in my 24 hour urine on thursday. I'm hoping that all turns out okay and that maybe my blood pressure was just higher because I'm so anxious.. EEK!

My blood pressure is up a bit, but not my OB or my midwife have even mentioned Pre-E. In fact, today my midwife took my BP when I was laying on my left side and it went from 142/82 (sitting up) to 116/68 (laying down).

hang in there....

It's probably just high because you're, understandably, feeling very stressed. Stress can cause some major elevation in blood pressure.

hopefully it is just high because you are stressed out over it.
