Stinky baby

Coen was 11 days old when he got his first bath at home. He had smelled so wonderful and new, I didn't want to lose that. I used clear water for his face and head, and gentle soap for the rest of him. 2 days after the bath he smelled like a sweaty old guy.

Today I bathed him again. This time I washed his hair with the soap. Now he smells like soap and sweaty old guy.

I don't know if it's just me or if he really smells that bad.

He loved the bath, though. I've never seen him look so relaxed.

My baby is harboring a cheese factory in the rolls on her neck. I just bathed her yesterday and already it was horrendous today...guess that is what happens when you give bottles...spitting up contributes too. I haven't used any soap yet. Just warm water. I plan to use dr bronners soap at some point but I don't know when.

My dd is nine days old now and I haven't washed her....for that very reason. She is my last dd and I want to keep that earthy newborn smell as long as possible. The only problem is that she has so much hair and we all can't keep our hands out of it so not it's all greasy looking, lol!
She has a lifetime of baths ahead of her, why rush it?

my ds was stinky too. it was coming from 2 places. 1~ his cord was getting yucky underneath as i wasnt using alcohol for it. i used it and the stump fell of the next day.
2~ behind his ears. the mik was accumulating there and getting funky. i thought i was cleaning it well enough but i guess not. i would also check deep inside your babe's neck crease. those things aside, i have no idea!
