Montana Bill - Please Support

I just received a letter in the mail from the Bozeman Birth Center. They have a Bill in House that will allow for a midwife owned birth center to be licensed, as of right now only physician controlled birth centers can be licensed.

Mostly this will help with insurance reimbursement. This would be a huge step in the right direction for Montana to allow midwife attended centers to be licensed, since we know the hospitals won't allow midwives.

Please help support those of us who choose something other than hospital births!! The bill is HB390 and here is a list of people you can email to simply tell them you support bill HB 390 or type a more personal note regarding your midwife attended birth.

I just checked the legislature website and it says this bill has been tabled in Committee. Although it had passed all 3 readings. So I don't know if that means it will be picked up again sometime this legislature, or if it's being held up until 2011....
