I have a 14 month old boy who normally wears BG or HP but I'm starting to hate them because they feel so artificial and stink so bad! I have some Motherease which don't soak very well and have some dreameze which seem so stiff after a while. Am I being to picky? Anyways I've been thinking about going with IPF but will they leak and how would I pin them because my boy is soooo squirmy! What are the best soakers also? Please help me.

Do you have doublers for the Mother-Ease? When I think my child might need more absorbency, I put in the snap-in doubler in the MEOS, and tuck a hemp doubler under the snap-in doubler. Prefolds are absorbent but I find them harder to use on mobile toddlers. Perhaps you might like hemp or bamboo fitted diapers? For wool soakers, I have only used Aristocrats and Disana; I think they both work very well.

I do have the snap in liners. Which doublers are the best and what do you use at night?

With the diapers you have now, do you think they are less soft than they were when you first washed them? If that is the case, you might have build up in them. Stiffness can happen from build up over time and would need to be stripped. It also happens when you line dry.
But if you want a reason to get something new...go for it. I agree with pp. Getting fitteds might be the way to go. There are some really nice ones on HC. BG also has bamboo ones that are fairly nice.

i love love love tiny tush one size fitteds, they are snaps so they hold up amazingly well, the are 100 % cotton, they are soft and absorbant, they come with a snap in soaker, if i was a baby i think these would be what i would want. paired up with either a wool, fllece or thirsties cover it's an awesome system.

Thank you for the advice. Lining does make them stiff so I'll put them in the dryer for a little bit. I'll check on tiny tush.

On the pfs, once I learned how to pin/snappi properly, I've had no leaking issues. My dd is pretty wiggly too so I just use a snappi most times.
I like the pfs because they're simple to wash, very soft and easy to put on. Of the covers I've tried I like Thirsties best. I think they're softer than the bummies and I like the colors. I haven't tried fleece or wool though.

I have been using the BG and HP for over a year now and only occasionally have a problem with leaking (which I think is just because I went too long in between changes). I use a Hemp Babies insert or the Thirsties fleece doublers. I always use a little BacOut by BioKleen as a light soak before washing and I only machine dry the inserts, not the diapers. My diapers look and smell almost brand new!
