Is There Any Way

to file our taxes w/o my tax paper (the w-2 or whatever it's called)? We recently moved, but our mail didn't get switched at the post office until we were already moved. Our old landlady is being a UAV, and she *says* that my tax papers came, and that she needed the address to send them, but it's been a couple of weeks, and they haven't arrived yet. (We think she may have been lying to get the address, she is convinced we are trying to stiff her out of the last 2 months' rent we owe her. DH lost his job, so we couldn't pay. We *know* we owe her, and we are more than willing to pay her as soon as *we* have money She's not convinced, and is threatening to take us to court, which we think is why she *really* wanted the address, regardless of whether or not she has the tax papers.) We *really* need to get our taxes filed soon, because I'm worried DH's work messed up, and we are going to end up owing money. Is there any way we can file without my paper(s) *and* include my working?

what i did was use my last paycheck and call my employer for their tax id number. you can also have them send you another copy but it takes time.

Your landlady does not need to mail them to you. She just needs to return them to the post office and tell them that you moved. It's a crime for her to mess with your mail. If she does sue you, you might want to mention to the judge that she's been reading your mail.

Call the employer and ask they resend you one, can also ask if they could fax it.

If you efile, techincally it's not needed to file, you will want a copy regardless and you will need the numbers off of it, but it need not be the orginal, so long as the numbers you input are correct.

I lost my W-2 last year and my employer was able to give me another one.
