This is awful though, i think a law that was meant to keep kids safe is going to hurt some families.
It includes clothing that might have lead in it... buttons, zippers, snaps, rhinestones, etc.

Maybe hook and loop (velcro) would be "exempt" from the lead, but perhaps not the phalates (sp?) concerns.

This includes anything and everything that is created for kids under 12.... bikes, kids sized dirtbikes, clothing, books, toys, board games, lunchboxes, Barbie sleeping bags for a trip to g-ma's, "flashy" feather topped pens or pencils for kids at school.

Anything and everything that is sold for kids use under 12.

Even libraries are taking notice... they have lots of kids books that were published before 1985.

OH crud...what is with this? What about ebay, is ebay next?

Salvation army stopped selling toys two years ago here...worries about toys from China and lead.

My Goodwill is stull stuffed to the gills with kids stuff. I hope it continues to stock it!

this is just stupid. I guess parents will just have to start organizing swaps and whatnot. It is unfortunate because I would guess the majority of goodwills business is toys and kids clothes.
